the details
Volunteering at Oldtone is a great way to support the festival!
More information on the 2025 Volunteer program will be posted soon. For now you can fill out the Volunteer questionnaire form on this page to get the process rolling and reserve a spot on this year’s Volunteer list. The basic shift requirement is 4 hours per day of the festival. We tend to staff volunteers mostly on site crews (Pre,During, and Post- fests), Ticketing, Traffic/Gates, Trash & Recycling, Merch, Green Room/Kitchen.
If you have questions or want to get on our list please contact our totally awesome Volunteer Coordinator AJ! At: oldtoneaj@gmail.com

GRATITUDE! For helping this important cultural event exist!
A Volunteer Team Tee Shirt
So much Fun!

What's Required:
A $100 Volunteer Deposit Ticket Is Required to Sign Up. This is refunded the week following the festival to all those that have completed their Volunteer commitment.
Please remember most tasks require some degree of physical activity. Whether it is standing, walking, lifting or other types of exertion, be prepared for some motion, and respect your own limitations.
What’s Not Included:
Back Stage Access (Unless you are Volunteering there)
Food or Refreshments during the festival are not included for volunteers. We make sure to keep those out in the sun hydrated, and we’d love to be able to feed everyone helping out, but we simply do not have the resources to do that at this time, hopefully we can in the future!

We do our best to take care of one another as we go, but please be responsible for yourself and your surroundings while you are on site. If you see anything unsafe please alert AJ immediately . Thank You
shift times
Thursday is Day Festival opens
Wednesday is Day before festival opens
Tuesday is 2 days before festival opens
Site Crew: Pre fest, during fest and post fest
PreFest is from 8am until that day's work load is completed and generally begins 7 days prior to festival opening (at least 3 days are worked for full fest camping ticket) if things are finished so is your day. PreFest could include months prior to the festival opening.
Upside to this is early entry for camping, getting fed, a volunteer t-shirt, and you do not work fest.
*If you also work post fest you are welcome to remain camped on property up to 7 days after the close of the festival on Sunday.
Site Crew During Fest shifts start times to be determined
Arrival is the day before festival opens; if you need to arrive sooner that is absolutely fine, be aware you work every day camped on the field and work garnered does NOT go towards what you volunteered for (we always appreciate the extra hand).
Post Fest is from 8am until that day's work is completed and will begin the Monday following the festival. Post fest could also include coming back at a later date and time to help shut down (winterize shall we say) festival site.
